Easy and reliable connection of end devices with serial interfaces to Ethernet networks is now possible with the new series of IOLAN DC converters. Thanks to a variety of different serial interfaces, bandwidths, security functions, protection standards, temperature ranges and special approvals, the IOLAN DC converters provide ideal solutions for a variety of applications, including factory and process automation, building automation, and automation for new energy applications.
　

Addressable via software, all converters feature at least one Ethernet port and RS 232/422/485 interfaces. In addition, the IOLAN DC converters support various protocols for serial data transmission, including Modbus TCP Gateway, Raw Serial Data over UTP, IPv4 and IPv6. The IOLAN converters feature a robust metal housing with fan-less cooling and are extremely easy to configure using the Perle Device Manger and meet very stringent security and EMC standards.
　

The compact IOLAN DS1 T meets the requirements of protection standard IP40 and includes a serial DB9M interface as well as a Fast Ethernet port with RJ45 connection with a temperature range of -40°C to +70°C.
　

The IOLAN SDS4 HL is approved for use in Ex Zone 2, additionally features include an extensive range of security functions such as RADIUS authentication, SNMPv3 and IPSec VPN Gateway and includes four serial interfaces for RJ45 ports.
　

The IOLAN SDS3 M has three serial RJ45 interfaces and is equipped with a V.92/V.90 modem, which enables the converter to connect to wide area networks. The temperature range for this device is 0°C to +55°C.
　

The IOLAN SDS16C HV excels in extreme operating conditions, e.g. the kind of conditions found in transformer stations in the electricity industry. Designed for use in switch cabinets, this IP30 converter offers 16 serial RJ45 interfaces and two RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet ports.
