    Transmit RS-232 data reliably in factory or other EMI/RFI-heavy areas with the BLACK BOX® Short-Haul Modem–FSK (SHM–FSK).

    This short-haul modem features Frequency Shift-Key operation, which provides high immunity to noise and interference, and it’s transparent to data and protocol. Adjust your SHM-FSK to changing line conditions. Modulate between 100 and 156.5 KHz to send signals above harsh industrial noise.

    The SHM–FSK also transmits farther than most short-haul modems—up to 3.8 miles (6.1 km) either half-or full-duplex at 9600 bps.

    For interfacing with 2-wire RS-485 or 4-wire RS-422 lines, order one of the optional modules available (see “Related Products” in previous screen).
