    The BLACK BOX® Relay/Digital I/O Cards provide 32 or 48 channels of buffered drive digital I/O emulating 8255 mode zero.

    All channels can be configured as inputs or outputs. The 32-channel card is arranged as four ports of eight channels each. The 48-channel card is arranged as six ports of eight channels each. Each port’s mode is selectable as input or output by writing a control word to the port register.

    The low order port of the first bit can be set to generate an interrupt for status monitoring applications. You can also request conditional I/O combinations to trigger a hardware interrupt.
