    The SSB Cable is a figure-8 self-support sheath cable with central tube cable design. The SSB cable core is a bundle of 6 or 12 fibers held together and consists of an extruded plastic tube which containing filling compound. With an overlapping corrugated electrolytic chrome-coated steel (ECCS)tape armor and music wires as strength members, fibers of SSB are up to 96 fibers.

    近似 8 字型的自持光纜,其中心塑膠套管由 6 芯或
    12 芯一束簇的光纖、充膠石油膏組成,並在套管
    外層加上波紋狀鍍鉻鋼帶(ECCS)及 7 條或 14 條鋼
    琴線做為抗張體。SSB 的光纖芯數最高可至 96 芯。
