    RS-232 is the most common serial interface in use today. This means you can use your SHM–B in thousands of RS-232 installations—industrial applications; security systems; UNIX®, DEC™, and HP® workstation connectivity; and more.

    The High-Speed SHM–B Async transmits your async data up to 1.5 miles (2.4 km) at speeds of up to 115.2 kbps! Go even farther—up to 4 miles (6.4 km)—at 4800 bps.

    The ME802A-R3 is housed in a sturdy metal case. Run loopback tests simply by pressing a front-panel button. It also provides the same great transformer and optical isolation as the SHM–B Async.
