small OD and they are made with Low Smoke Flammarest® PVC insulations and jackets

Belden 2-pair (Part #1325A) and 3-pair (Part #1326A) cables are available in both 500
and 1,000 ft. lengths from stock, with White or Blue jackets.

Belden is the first manufacturer to offer low
capacitance, 2- and 3-pair, plenum-rated STP
cables for commercial audio applications such as
room-to-room audio, intercoms, and public
address systems in schools, houses of worship,
and gaming facilities. The cables also address
various building management needs, i.e., for
instrumentation and control equipment, fire/
burglar alarms, and access control devices such
as card readers and biometric scanners.
　

Construction Details

These individually shielded 2- and 3-pair STP
cables have a small OD (.158 and .190, respectively)
for easy routing through tight openings and
for better space utilization. These OD sizes are
approximately 15% smaller than similar cables from
other manufacturers. The 15% diameter reduction
leverages as a 24% square area reduction and a
24% better fill rate (and space utilization)
for critically tight spots.
　

To make the cables more economical and easier
to install than other makers’ products, Belden uses
a highly flexible, Low Smoke Flammarest PVC for
the cables’ insulation and jacket. Traditional cable
constructions employ hard-to-use, expensive
fluoropolymers as their insulation material.
　

To achieve 100% coverage, the pairs of Belden’s
STP cables are individually shielded with Belden’s
Beldfoil® aluminum/polyester foil shield. An innovative
isolation/shorting fold treatment called ZFold
® is part of the shield’s construction. To reduce
the potential for noise ingress or egress, the shorting
fold provides foil-to-foil contact where the
shield’s tape edges overlap.
22 AWG stranded (7x30) tinned copper conductors
and a common 24 AWG stranded tinned copper
drain wire complete the cables’ construction
features. Both cables are NEC and CEC CMP rated
with a suggested working voltage of 300V RMS.
