    Magnum 6K Managed Ethernet SwitchesThe 6K family of IPv6-ready Ethernet Managed Switches is Ideal for industrial Ethernet on the factory floor, power plant and outdoor applications. These rugged switches are designed to endure even the most extreme environments. The 6K family features fiber-rich and modular switches that can be configured with AC or DC power. The wide selection ofport modulesmakes the 6K line of switches very flexible.

    The switches come with theMNS-6K software and have S-Ringsoftware for redundancy management. MNS-6K-SECURE is available for extra security. Power Source options including24V DC Power,48V DC Power,125V DC Powerand 250V DC are available. AC power is available on all models.

    • 6K32F has 4 slots, any module in 4 slots; Max 4 Gb modules.
    • 6K32FC has 4 slots, any module in these slots; Max 2 Gb modules.
    • 6K32T has 2 slots, any module in these slots.
    • 6K32TRC has 2 slots, any module in these slots.
    • 6K25 has 3 slots for any module (except double Gb and fixed Gb modules) & 1 D-slot for GBIC only.

    Power Over Ethernet Capabilities

    POE_logoPower Over Ethernet (PoE) technology describes any system that transmits electrical power, in addition to data, to remote devices over standard twisted-pair wire in an Ethernet network. This technology is useful for powering network devices where it would be inconvenient or infeasible to supply power separately. Such devices include IP telephones, wireless LAN access points, IP cameras, IP sensors and instruments in industry, IP radios, digital clocks, and more. The technology is comparable to POTS telephones, which also receive power and data (although analog) through the same cable.

    PoE works without requiring modification to the existing Ethernet copper cabling infrastructure. Power over Ethernet is standardized in IEEE 802.3af.  The IEEE 802.3af-compliant power sources supply 48 volts DC to devices at a maximum current of 350 mA. This allows devices to draw up to 15.4 watts.The new IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) standard raises the wattage to 25.5 watts.
